Robert Van Arlen Speaker Biography
Robert Van Arlen is a speaker on the international stage, emcee and author of Focused Synergy: Orchestrating Your Purpose, Path and Performance. He was born in Honolulu and grew up in Kansas City. After relocating to San Francisco, Robert moved to Toronto and now resides in Phoenix. Robert is considered one of the most charismatic and engaging speakers in the professional development marketplace. He delivers a memorable experience for every audience.
His corporate background comes from 15 years leadership experience in the global legal publishing arena. He was credited for changing and improving the standards for sales and organizational excellence. The legal publishing industry was faced with the challenge of migrating from traditional print book publishing to CD-ROM and online platforms. Robert’s role was to implement business models both domestically and internationally that would keep the company profitable during and after the transition. Additionally, he was the on-camera host for corporate training and development initiatives. His models for change have been adopted industry-wide, and he is known for helping teams and individuals become more focused and productive.
Robert has presented to numerous audiences in the U.S. and Europe. He recently delivered speeches in Greece, Spain and Holland and was featured on the Business Channel on Tour in Istanbul, which is being broadcasted on the RTL network in Europe. This year Robert has already helped numerous organizations improve their team culture and is scheduled to be a keynote speaker during the Arizona Society of Human Resource State conference in August 2013. The conference committee is expecting over 1,000 HR professionals to be in attendance. Robert’s message will focus on building an inspirational community through diversity.
Robert’s life experience also includes participation on five community service boards and he currently advises and supports many charitable organizations on a volunteer or pro bono basis. His ability to market and promote is attractive as he understands and values relationships. He has developed a popular and positive presence on the Internet, which continues to grow in new directions every year. Robert is also a jazz pianist.
