Authority on Modern Workplace Issues
As President Bush's Secretary of Labor, Lynn Martin championed the issues of all workers, particularly females and minorities, by providing comprehensive solutions that strengthened our labor market as a whole. Prior to her appointment as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor, she served as a U.S. Congresswoman from Illinois for ten years. In Congress, she was the first woman elected to a leadership post, serving as Vice Chair of the House Republican Conference. Since leaving government, Ms. Martin has continued to revolutionize the way we think about the workplace. She is an Adviser to the firm Deloitte and Touche where she serves as Chair of the Council for the Advancement of Women, a glass ceiling initiative which oversees corporate efforts to provide full opportunity to talented women and men.
