It all started when his mother found a flyer at a local bike shop. She saw a flyer advertising the Las Vegas BMX track Nellis BMX. Upon watching the competition, Connor Fields was hooked. It became his dream to be a pro-BMXer. When he wasn’t riding BMX, he was watching it, and when he wasn’t watching it, he was thinking about it.
At age eleven, Connor stopped playing all other sports and focused only on BMX. At age 16, he earned his first USABMX National Age Group title, and Connor would end his amateur career with 3 total N.A.G. #1 titles. When the International Olympic Committee announced in 2005 that BMX would be added to the Olympic program, competing for his country and winning a medal became his major goal.
After a knee injury forced Connor to miss the first half of the 2011 season, he decided to turn pro upon his return in mid-2011 to make his dream a reality. Connor is now nine years into his pro career and still loves it as much as he did as a young child.
When not racing, Connor is a part-time student at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He is a huge fan of all sports and loves watching them in his spare time. Connor is actively involved with St. Jude’s Children’s research hospital and Make a Wish Foundation as well as local charities.
Signature Keynote: G.O.L.D.
G.O.L.D. is the story of the ups and downs that come along with setting the highest goals possible. From injuries, difficulties, failures, setbacks, and depression to the elation of winning National Championships, World Cups, and an Olympic Gold Medal. From “choking” at the 2012 Olympics to being “clutch” in 2016. What changed? How did I shift my mindset? How did I believe in myself again? How do you get the best out of yourself each and every day? Those are all questions I answer in my signature keynote, G.O.L.D. Opening the curtains to a rarely seen experience of what it takes to win sport's greatest prize, you will see behind the usually closed doors and enjoy a roller coaster of emotions while learning skills to improve performance in business, relationships, and life.

CREATIVITY IS KEY
When you have been doing the same sport, practicing the same techniques, and trying to win the next race for 20 years straight, things can become a bit repetitive. How do you keep things interesting, fresh, and give yourself an opportunity for breakthroughs? Creativity
When you think of sport, creativity may not be the first word that comes to mind, but when you break it down, sport is a medium in which to express yourself creatively. In addition to that, the modern landscape of social media has made creative branding and marketing strategy more important than ever for athletes, brands, and individuals.

When you think of professionalism, poise, passion and the unprecedented ability to connect at a mental level with a group of people you have just met, Connor Fields more than delivers on all accounts. I was fortunate to have Connor serve as my keynote speaker at my company’s annual Corporate Conference. This year my theme was “Go for the Gold” which in more ways than one was the perfect platform for Connor to speak to my group. His presentation, G.O.L.D., hit the mark, offering a compassionate story with a series of relatable messages that hit home with my attendees on multiple levels. Connor gave us an up-close look at the life-long path he faced as a professional athlete and what he had to overcome to achieve his life-long dream of becoming an Olympics Gold Medal winner. He delivered his presentation with such compassion, professionalism and humor, that I couldn’t have asked for a better representation of what it means to achieve greatness simply by being a genuine, well-rounded, real person who truly wants to inspire and move people to find their own greatness within to achieve personal excellence, whatever that may be. I highly recommend Connor for any speaking engagement for groups large or small. You will not be disappointed and what you will receive from Connor will exceed any expectation you may have.
