Al Franken is best known for nearly two decades of work on Saturday Night Live (SNL). During that time, Franken wrote, performed in and produced hundreds of sketches, including Daily Affirmations with Stuart Smalley and The Final Days, a piece about the last days of the Nixon presidency.

He has received four Emmys for his writing on SNL and a fifth for producing. In 1988, he provided commentary for CNN at the Democratic National Convention in Atlanta. And in 1992, he anchored Comedy Central's Indecision, winning wide critical acclaim for his coverage of both conventions and election night. The New York Post called him the Walter Cronkite of the 90's.He is also a frequent guest on Politically Incorrect, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman.
